Hot Sauce of the Week
Frank's Red Hot Wings Hot Buffalo-in terms of straight up buffalo sauces, this one was surprisingly good. Nothing out of the ordinary or crazy, just knows what it is and does it well. According to the label Frank's Hot Sauce was the secret ingredient in the original Buffalo Wings so if you buy into marketing propaganda, this stuff has some pedigree. In terms of heat, it was a little lacking but if you need something safe to keep on hand, this is a good choice.

Bonz's Rides
are in good hands. Nick has already made some changes to the Shovel. I'm interested to see where it goes from here.

Be careful...
who you take your bike to. What you can't see in this picture is a stripped, broken bolt. My friend paid big $ to have his problem "fixed." The other day while riding he went to shift and a bolt that had backed its way out kept him from doing so. He was able to get down the road and made it to my place. Upon inspection, there were not one but two bolts that were backing out. The reason? They couldn't be properly tightened due to broken bolt pieces in the holes. Whoever was working on the bike broke two bolts off and didn't feel the need to fix it before it went out the door. We took the hour needed to get the pieces out and put new bolts in. There is no excuse for this. Do some homework on your mechanic or you might end up with some BS like this on your bike.

Hot Sauce of the Week
Tabasco Hot and Spicy Stuff Olives-Yep, every bit as awesome as they sound. My spice supplier has been keeping these a staple of our house for years now (thanks as always Uncle Bill). I'll pop a few as an appetizer before a meal or dice them up for stew or chili. You couldn't find them around here until recently, great stuff.
Tabasco Spicy Beans-another great veggie from the Tabasco folks. Just like the olives, great before a meal. Also great as an out of the ordinary garnish for food or drink.

In other news...
I have a band. We are playing this Friday at Marty's in Southside. 21+ only and NO COVER! If you are in Birmingham, you should come out.
Find us on facebook here.
I also have a podcast. It is not motorcycle related, me and a buddy just sit in a room and shoot the shit. We aren't topical, relevant, or much into current events but we are loud, opinionated and occasionally funny. If podcasts are your bag, check it out. Fair warning, this podcast NSFW, consistently contains foul language and a few are very graphic discussing adult themes. LISTEN AT YOUR OWN RISK!
You can download or stream the episodes here.

On the sauce...
Pepper Palace, PCB. I spent way too long and way too much money in this store. Excellent, friendly staff and a unbeatable selection. Sampled plenty of their offerings and got a few to try. If I lived closer, I'd be tempted to hit it weekly. Check them out here.

Hot Sauce of the Week
Tabasco Spicy Tequila-pretty much exactly what it says it is. I've shot it and mixed it, does both equally well. If you want to take Margaritas and Bloody Maria's up a notch, this is what you need. Like Tequila and want to try one with a unique twist? Give it a shot.

Hot Sauce of the Week
McIlhenny Farms Spicy Ketchup-good stuff but not great stuff. The ketchup isn't quite the quality of a Heinz, you might get a more satisfying, flavorful result from mixing your favorite ketchup with regular Tabasco.
McIlhenny Co. Tabasco Brand Soy Sauce-this stuff is magical. Add some wasabi and you've got a killer complement to sushi, also great in fried rice. I am really impressed with this one, an awesome product.

Hot Sauce of the Week
Pain 100% Wing Sauce-HOLY HELL! Truth in advertising, this sauce is some of the hottest stuff I've ever had. Habanero is the first ingredient, a cayenne sauce blend is second. Painful doesn't begin to describe this experience. The sauce packs a great vinegar/tomato flavor once you get past the initial burn. I was very liberal in my application, next time I may use a bit less. If you think you are into heat and are feeling brave, give this one a go...but have plenty of your favorite extinguisher handy. You'll need it.
